Your Opportunity:
As a member of the TBCC Clinical Research Unit (CRU) Finance Team, this position provides research revenue and expense processing for CRU research activities under the direction of the Senior Financial Analyst, Clinical Research Finance, Business Advisory Services and the CRU Manager.
Description:
As a Grant Administrator for the Clinical Research Unit, TBCC, you will develop a detailed working knowledge of sponsoring agency, AHS and University financial policies and guidelines.
This role is responsible for clinical trial invoicing, tracking and payment reconciliation as well as processing patient expenses for participation in clinical trials.
The grant administrator ensures that granting agency policies and guidelines on expenditures and reporting are followed. You will create documentation for account terms of reference and ensure appropriate sign off for financial statements. You will be responsible for maintaining and updating Clinical Trial Management System tracking databases and preparing research administration reports.- Classification: Administrator

Required Qualifications:
BA or BSc in a related field to the position (accounting and/or business administration) Previous experience in a research or academic environment is essential.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years experience in a research financial management setting. Experience performing and learning complex in administrative tasks with no supervision or guidance. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. Ability to manage finances in a changing and multifaceted environment with diverse and complex issues. Effective communicator with superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with the inner workings of cancer research and various funding streams is an asset.
