Description

We are looking to hire a Driver-courier who will be responsible for transporting goods by car, truck, van, or other delivery vehicle.

The driver will be responsible for inspecting the vehicle, verifying shipments, and loading and unloading goods to be transported.


Moreover, the Driver will be keeping detailed records of their deliveries, mileage, fuel costs, and any issues with the items being delivered.

As well the Driver must be in contact with the Company's office and keep them updated on delivery status and details.


Reports to:

Operations Manager and President of the Company


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Drive assigned Company vehicles to do order pickups and deliveries.
  • Package, load and unload products to be delivered.
  • Inspect the Company vehicles regularly to meet meet technical and safety
- requirements.

  • Add fuel and maintain detailed records of fuel costs and mileage.
  • Record all the details of pick ups and delivery documentation. Collect and present all paperwork and documents to Company's accounting or management team.
  • Maintain communication with superiors to plan work schedules.
  • Inform Company's management about any issues with the items being delivered or picked up.
  • Always get consent from the President of the Company if Company vehicle is going to be used for personal matters.
  • Take full responsibility and any loss if goods in the vehicle are lost during the time when car is used for personal reasons.
  • Deliver items by the required delivery date and time.
  • Immediately report any damage or issues with the vehicles or any other problem while performing tasks assigned.
  • Help assembling or installing items upon delivery if needed
  • Assist preparing shipments and accepting deliveries.
  • Collect payment or get signatures for proof of delivery and pickups
  • Ensure all items being delivered remain intact during transport and delivery.
  • Comply with all the Company rules.
  • Complete other tasks delivered by the supervisor.

Qualifications:


  • To be skilled in practical and manual activities.
  • To have a good driving skills.
  • To have a valid AZ category driver's license.
  • To have a clean driving record.
  • To have a keen eye for detail and accurate in their work.
  • To be organized and punctual.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$15.50-$25.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
