Job Description Summary


Our Sanitation team is responsible for a wide variety of jobs including washing, cleaning and maintaining our high sanitary food safety standards.

This position requires long periods of standing, sitting, and repetitive use of hand/arms to use cleaning tools and supplies.

This job may occur in any area of the plant, requires good physical stamina, and is labor intensive in an often fast-paced work environment.


Job Description:


Essential job duties include:

  • Engaged in duties concerned with sanitation programs in a food processing establishment
  • Complete all companyprovided and required training
  • Operate/Locate all Emergency (E) Stops in the plant.
  • Operate/Locate hand held fireextinguishing equipment.
  • Operate/Locate eyewash and shower stations.
  • Understanding and knowledge of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Understanding and knowledge of all sanitation chemicals used in the plant.
  • Operate sanitation equipment.
  • Reports mechanical or electrical problems promptly to supervisor and maintenance.
  • Ensure sanitation of production lines.
  • Maintains/Promotes safe work practices at all times.
  • Satisfactorily complete Job Criteria List and Training Program as outlined by Sanitation Supervisor.
  • Fill out, maintain and sign all applicable documentation and administration forms for verification purposes.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Communicate with sanitation leader, and supervisors as follows:

  • To keep abreast of production activities.
  • Remove any foreign material found during transfers and notifies supervisor immediately if glass or metal is found.

Maintain sanitation in the work area as needed:

  • Clean work area as determined necessary (using the designated cleaning equipment and supplies as well as a high pressure water hose).
  • Clean plant equipment as assigned during plant clean up.

TRAINING PERIOD

  • 480 hours of work (probation period)
