RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre.

Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University.

The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).

Position summary
We are looking for a research associate to work with Dr Louise Pilote in Clinical Epidemiology and biostatistics.

General Duties
Specific duties

  • Conduct literature reviews,
  • Assist in writing study protocols,
  • Manage databases, perform analysis, interpret the results and collaborate on scientific manuscripts,
  • Assist in research synthesis and knowledge translation activities,
  • Communicate and supervise the trainees, organize team meetings,
  • Keep up to date with all grant opportunities and abstract submission deadlines for conferences,

Education / Experience

  • PhD in epidemiology or biostatistics,
  • Strong interpersonal skills,
  • Ability to lead a team of research trainees,
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills for effective coordination,
  • Ability to perform data analysis independently and to carry out literature searches and reviews,
  • Good software skills such as the ability to program,
  • Extensive experience with quantitative data analysis/statistics,
  • Detail oriented with strong problem finding, resolution and documentation skills,

Status:
Temporary, full time


Pay Scale:
Commensurate with education and experience


Work Shift: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (flexible), Mondays to Fridays
