The coordination of all activities associated with company logistics (shipping/receiving; material handling, trucking, product inventory; distribution of tools, materials, supplies, equipment).

Requirements:
- The position of Logistics Coordinator is an hourly rated working position with an average workweek consisting of a minimum of 44 hours per week.
- Minimum education level required is a grade 12 or equivalent. Supply Chain, Inventory or Warehouse Management certification is an asset.
- Must possess: strong organization skills; good verbal and written communication skills; the ability to coordinate and plan work activities.
- Must have a valid fork lift license, and be proficient with computer systems and programs.
Duties
- Performs all business functions related to the storage, organization and movement of company goods and materials.
- Arranges and coordinates carriers for shipments and prepares Bill of Lading, packing slips and related shipping documents.
- Works closely with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Service and Projects Teams as required to review and discuss product inventory, shipment and receipt of goods, schedules, product and materials requirements, deadlines, etc.
- Loads and unloads trucks, and ensures proper shipping procedures for transportation of heavy goods and rigging and lifting.
- Reviews requisition orders for accuracy and check that materials, equipment and stock are available from current inventories.
- Assembles containers, packaging and crates with goods to be shipped, and prepares identifying information and shipping instructions.
- Inspects, verifies and maintains quality control of incoming and outgoing goods.
- Maintains and coordinates storage and distribution of product by pulling orders from warehouse to staging or shipping area; or restocks products.
- Maintains internal recordkeeping systems.
- Operates forklift and other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods.
- Establish safe storage and handling procedures for various materials.
- Maintains digital records (documentation and photos) of all shipments
- Notifies internal departments and customers about outgoing shipments.
- Performs additional duties including local pickup and delivery tasks outside regular warehouse duties as required.
- Ensures that all incoming goods and shipments that require an MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) are accompanied by an MSDS before entering plant facilities.
- Maintains and requests MSDS information from applicable vendors as required by WHMIS
- Ensures employees comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations and all company safety rules and practices
- Establishes and ensures good daily housekeeping practices within department.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Salary:
$23.00-$27.00 per hour
