- Undergraduate degree in Indigenous Studies, Public Administration, Business Administration, Health and Social Services Leadership, or other comparable area of study.
- 5 years experience working in a leadership position in the non-profit/public service field
- A combination of relevant experience, education, and training will be considered.
- Strong financial management skills, and demonstrated experience managing large budgets.
- Strong interpersonal and conflict management skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- The ability to juggle multiple projects, strategically identify priorities, and manage time effectively.
- Ability to lead, problem-solve, and utilize team-building skills.
- Knowledge of and ability to use MS Office tools – Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, etc.
- The place of work is 551 Chatham Street, Victoria BC; a hybrid model of up to 2 days/week work from home may be considered. The BCAAFC is an accessible space including ground floor workspaces, elevator and accessible workstations.
- The selected individual must have a stable internet connection and telephone/cell phone to work from home. IT services and laptop will be supplied.
- The workweek is 35 hours, and some overtime and travel is required for this position.
- Must be able to provide clear, current criminal record check
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination will be a requirement for the successful candidate.
- A valid BC Driver's licence is required.
- Three weeks of paid vacation (plus additional time off during office closure at the end of December)

- $70,000-$80,000 starting salary based on experience.

Located within the territory of WSÁNEĆ (Saanich), Lkwungen (Songhees) and Wyomilth (Esquimalt) peoples, the BC Association of Aboriginal Friendship Centres (BCAAFC) is the umbrella association for the 25 Friendship Centres throughout the Province of British Columbia. The BCAAFC collaboratively works to promote and deliver accessible programs and services that target urban Indigenous peoples and that support their vision of health and wellness.
We are seeking qualified applicants for the position of Member Services Team Lead. The Members Services Team ensures that Friendship Centres are supported in their capacity and sustainability to meet the needs of their local community members. The Member Services Team Lead oversees a diverse team that includes contracting, funding, training, Elders and Youth outreach. The Member Services Team Lead is a key point of contact between member Friendship Centres and BCAAFC; and in particular, provides support and direction to centres who may be experiencing operational challenges or areas of growth.
