Sales Manager- Aggregates and Asphalt - Ottawa, Canada - R.W. Tomlinson Limited

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work closely with the Senior Vice President to develop strategies and sales objectives
- Effectively support aggregate and asphalt sales team
- Timely and accurate completion of required reports in the CRM (Salesforce) system
- Participate in specified conferences and boards on national, regional and local basis,
- Maintains a positive and professional working relationship with all members of the Tomlinson team, customers and partners
- Ensure Coordination of executive level customer communications and events
- Maintain and establish relationship with customer decision makers and key accounts
- Ensures that appropriate analysis is conducted which includes competitive market analysis, internal review of strengths, weaknesses, threats and opportunities
- Identify required new capabilities, provide feedback on products and services, industry trends and customer needs, and foster partnerships with key players to support successful proposal bids.
- Help to develop new product ideas and identify opportunities in response to current and future market needs.
- Ensure that business processes and tools are developed and improved
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10 plus years of progressive sales and leadership experience with proven track record.
- Proven ability to understand customers' decisionmaking process and create and drive enterprisewide solutions for our customers.
- Demonstrated success developing and executing short and longterm business plans and strategies designed to assure timely orders resulting in company growth.
- Experience and understanding of forecasting, investment strategy, standard estimating and budgeting practices and planning
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Standard office environment. Requirement for evening customer events.
