JOB TITLE:
Customer Service Representative - Motorsports


REPORTS TO:
Director of Motorsports


OVERVIEW OF ROLE:


In the role of Customer Service Representative
, you will be expected to manage several aspects of the business related to load planning and all areas of Customer Service.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Plan, direct and control freight operations in line with our intent of servicing the client first.
  • Work with all areas of Operations, Logistics and Sales to maximize utilization of resources and achieve individual and group goals
  • Build relationships with Operations to manage appointment scheduling that meets the needs of the customer
  • Manage assigned existing customer accounts, including projects
  • Inventory reconciliation
  • Participate in monthly Operational and Business Development meetings
  • Cultivate strong relationships with dispatchers and customers
  • Work closely with the Operations Team to ensure compliance with company policies and external regulations.
  • Provide tracing and P.O.D. information to customers (external/internal)
  • Answering inquiries and provide prompt communication regarding status of shipments
  • Accurate and timely receipt/shipment data entry; strong attentiontodetail is essential

QUALIFICATIONS
Must have an acceptable level of education and experience within an office environment, and provide:

  • Strong communication skills (written and oral) with proven ability to demonstrate problem solving skills in a professional manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with a strong customer focus.
  • Knowledge of freight operations, Truckmate, Pc Miler, Excel and SAP is an asset.
  • Fast and accurate typing skills with strong attention to detail are critical along with the ability to work independently.
  • Must be able to multitask in a fastpaced environment.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software and data entry is an asset.
  • Should possess strong problem solving ability: recognize, assess, report and provide solutions
