JOB TITLE:
Fleet Maintenance Tech, Waterloo, Ontario

REPORTING TO:
Fleet Manager, Waterloo terminal


OVERVIEW OF ROLE:


As the Fleet Maintenance Tech, you will work with Corporate Maintenance in Manitoba and the Terminal Manager in Waterloo to facilitate day to day repairs on tractors and trailers at our Waterloo facilities that do not require major service.


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Level two experience minimum
  • The ability to perform maintenance and/or replacement functions on:
  • Brakes, shoes, drums, s-cams and bushings
  • Replace brake pots and measure brake stroke
  • Replace worn or damage shocks
  • Repair lights, wiring, nose plugs
  • Simple exterior body patches, minor welding of brackets/mudflaps
  • Replacement of wheel seals/bearings and races/adjust wheel end play
  • Recognition of ABS issues would be an asset
  • Progressive knowledge of maintenance or transportation industry is preferred
  • Computer literacy
  • Ability to effectively manage time and organize tasks
  • Strong interpersonal skills, presentation and communication skills
  • Excellent problemsolving ability including the ability to recognize, assess, report and provide solutions
  • Ability to effectively manage time and organize tasks
  • Should be able to supply your own basic tools, for specialized we will supply
Compensation is commensurate with industry experience.
