- Dayshift - 4 days a week
- Must have experience in an Underground environment.
- Meet the contractual expectations for delivered IT services, with appropriate communication and focus on cost management and issue tracking.
- Support the Business Partner and EUC team to continually look for opportunities to improve current EUC services and processes.
- Provide support on asset management.
- Assess and complete, software, and other requests.
- Perform software analysis and compliance tracking.
- Provide mobile support for end users for tablets and phones.
- Perform complex hardware and/or software upgrades to existing equipment.
- Perform troubleshooting to determine and resolve the root cause of most hardware or software malfunctions at the Mobility Level
- Provide Underground and remote support
- Carry out survey for LTE infrastructure and assist in map updating.
- Provide proper and prompt updates on projects and documentation assigned on daily basis.
- Provide onsite and remote support.
- Field service support (surface, underground, remote etc.) for device, applications, network, telecom, and other IT infrastructure as required.
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related field
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience providing support in an underground technical environment.
- Must have a Class G license and vehicle
- Physical requirements must be met for the role.
- Proven success in collaborating with multiple stakeholders to deliver IT services.
- Demonstrated ability to follow up on issues independently and ensure they are resolved promptly, escalating when necessary.
- Able to analyze technical issues and think critically to provide recommendations.
- Strong MS Office skills
- Ability to work in a virtual team environment.
- Strong initiative and effective ownership of task management
- Knowledge of Android OS
- Knowledge of KNOX Mobile Security would be an asset.

The Opportunity:
The Onsite Field Technician (Underground) will provide technical support for the mobile device environment (phones, tablets, end-user applications) to our underground workforce in the Thompson, Manitoba area mines. Work location will be underground in the mine.
