Human Resources Coordinator - Calgary, Canada - Secure Energy
Description
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:- Responsible for the day-to-day HR functions of the division, including employee relations, case management, engagement, compensation, recruitment, learning and development, and performance management
- Provide guidance, support, and recommendations on a wide range of HR issues to all stakeholders
- Preparation of documents related to internal employee movement, performance improvement plans, terminations, and other employee relations matters as required by the People & Culture team.
- Ensure all documents related to the employee life cycle are submitted accurately and filed
- Executes the onboarding process of new hires in an effective and organized manner, including collection of all required company and legal paperwork and facilitating the onboarding program
- Supporting the People & Culture team to deliver key annual programs including strategic planning, goal setting, and performance and compensation reviews
- Administering the lifecycle of the reward and recognition programs, including the preparation and coordination of the annual service awards
- Execute the offboarding process including severance calculations, document preparation and distribution, conducting employee exit interviews as required and summarizing feedback for the People & Culture team
- Supporting the People & Culture team in ensuring that employeerelated issues are properly addressed, resolved, and documented
- Managing the employee lifecycle process by ensuring proper information flows between various departments such as Payroll, Finance, Information Technology and Office Services
- Maintaining employee files and related documents, in addition to managing all HRspecific documents
- Support the Benefits Advisor in STD/LTD, WCB case management as required
- Contributing individually or as part of a team to deliver on HRrelated projects such as employee engagement, continuous improvement, and retention initiatives
- Contributing to a positive culture within the HR team and organization
- Periodic travel to project sites/other company offices as required
Qualifications/Competencies
The individual in this role will have:
- A minimum of 3 years' previous HR related experience (within the areas of HR Administration, Recruitment and/or Benefits is considered an asset)
- Postsecondary education with a degree in Business Administration or Commerce with a focus in Human Resources or equivalent
- Strong working knowledge of Employment Standards legislation, policies, and practices
- Desire to obtain or working towards Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation is considered an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point)
- Demonstrated ability to work with highly confidential information
- Detail oriented and demonstrated interpersonal, time management and organizational skills
- Effective communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of the business
Experience:
Required
- 3 year(s): Employee relations, case management, engagement, compensation, recruitment, learning and development, and performance management
- 3 year(s): Previous HR related experience (within the areas of HR Administration, Recruitment and/or Benefits is considered an asset)
