This position provides the option to work from home on Mondays and Fridays each week, with the requirement to report to the primary NOVA Chemicals work location on Tuesdays through Thursdays.

Employees can opt out of the hybrid schedule and will be expected to work Monday-Friday from the primary work location.

Remote work will be considered.

We are seeking a passionate and professional person to join the Durables & Rigids Technical Service Team as a Technical Service Specialist.


You Will Use Your Expertise To:

Provide customer technical support such as attending resin qualification trials, offering processing advice, providing product related training, and troubleshooting expertise.

Identify customer opportunities and deliver captured value.
Provide support and advice on product development initiatives.
Ensure customer satisfaction through timely and effective resolution of customer complaints.
Develop and maintain effective, professional, customer relationships.
Support various product quality and customer experience initiatives.
Represent NOVA at industry associations and conferences.


What We Are Looking For:


Bachelor of Science/Engineering degree with 8+ years of related experience OR technical school diploma with 10+ years of related practical experience.

An aptitude for simulation software and applied statistical tools and techniques such as multi-variant analysis and design of experiment.
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to establish and maintain effective customer relationships.
A passion to provide great customer experience working with NOVA.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Well-developed communication skills including presentation and technical writing skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
Demonstrable history of strong performance in current role.
Well-developed critical thinking skills with an aptitude for thinking outside of the box.
Effective time management/organizational skills.


The Following Skills Will Be Considered an Asset:
Experience operating common polymer processing equipment.
Knowledge of common polymer tests and related procedures.

Additional Information:

Relocation will be considered to the nearest geographical NOVA Chemicals' location for this position
Compensation will be commensurate with education and experience
Must be willing and able to travel up to 50%+ of the time, mostly domestic USA and Canada
Must possess a valid driver's license and be eligible to travel easily between Canada and the U.S.
