    Description
    We are searching for an experienced Sales Engineer behalf of our client, a global Tier 1 & 2 automotive manufacturer of components and assemblies to the automotive and other industrial markets. This position is located in the Windsor area
    The Sales Engineer will be integral in advancing the technical sales aspects of our automotive supply business across North America, Europe, and non-China regions. While the focus is on mechatronics, this role encompasses a broad understanding of our entire product range, including mechanical components, systems, and manufacturing capabilities. This person will bridge the engineering and sales departments, fostering new business opportunities and expanding existing customer relationships through technical consultation and comprehensive solution development.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Serve as the technical expert within the sales team, providing in-depth knowledge across mechatronics, mechanical engineering, and other relevant technical areas to support diverse sales objectives.
    • Engage directly with customers to assess their technical requirements and challenges, particularly in the automotive industry, and develop tailored engineering solutions.
    • Collaborate with R&D and advanced manufacturing engineering teams to understand product capabilities and innovations, effectively translating these into sales opportunities.
    • Support the sales process through technical presentations and demonstrations, aligning the company's capabilities with customer needs.
    • Foster strong relationships with existing and prospective customers, acting as the technical liaison and advisor in sales discussions.
    • Participate in RFQ responses, offering technical insights to ensure accurate and competitive proposals.
    • Travel to client sites to provide on-ground technical support, ensuring customer requirements are met and aiding in securing sales.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements in mechatronics and the automotive sector, using this knowledge to enhance sales strategies.
    • Provide feedback from the field to the engineering and product development teams, aiding in product refinement and innovation.
    • Assist in the planning and participation of trade shows, conferences, and other marketing activities, showcasing technical expertise and product knowledge.

    • Achieve significant growth in new and existing accounts within North America, Europe, and non-China markets.
    • Meet or exceed established sales targets.
    • Successful introduction and adoption of mechatronics products in key markets.
    • Development and expansion of technical partnerships with existing and new clients.
    • Contribution to product improvements and innovations based on customer feedback and market analysis.

    Qualifications:
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical sales role, with a strong preference for experience in the automotive supply industry.
    • Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
    • Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
    • Proven problem-solving skills with a focus on providing customer-centric technical solutions.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a cross-functional team environment.
