    The Working Chief Engineer is responsible to maintain heating, ventilation and air-conditioning equipment, electrical systems that control the flow of both utility and self-generated emergency power, and more visible systems such as elevators, grounds and lighting.

    Shift and Hours of Work: 1.0FTE - full-time - hours of work currently 07:30 - 15:45 (Summer); Minimum of 5 years experience in Power Engineering field at the current level;
    Maintenance and use of fire protection and firefighting equipment;

    Acceptable training and experience in the ongoing operation and maintenance of a large facility, preferably healthcare; Experience in the use of personal computers and various software.

    Ability to communicate well orally and in writing in both official languages (French & English);
    Ability to understand technical language & manuals;
    Current Criminal Record Check for the Vulnerable sector and Adult Abuse Registry Check deemed satisfactory by the Employer.
    Safe and proper methods of operating/maintaining and repairing structural, mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems in a large facility.
    This position is designated bilingual (French/English). All staff are hired for the facility.

    Employees may hold more than one position in different Actionmarguerite facilities, where the sum total of hours does not exceed 1.0 full-time equivalence.
