About Us

Residing within the Ministry of Public and Business Services, the Infrastructure Technology Services (ITS) Division provides the underlying infrastructure for all Ontario government IT, supporting critical ministry and agency systems.

ITS partners with I+IT clusters and ministries to deliver timely, innovative and cost-effective enterprise-wide IT services and solutions to over 60,000 Ontario Public Service (OPS) staff and, ultimately, the citizens of Ontario.

The Infrastructure Project Delivery (IPD) Branch provides support to the project managers and management team by ensuring project management best practices are followed.

The IPD team maintains proper project governance and publishes regular reports and dashboards to track KPI metrics on project progress and successes.

We are currently looking for a motivated professional to join our team, and provide expertise, leadership, support, guidance and advice to Project Management professionals in the delivery and implementation of complex I&IT projects and project methodologies, techniques and best practices.

What can I expect to do in this role?: In this role, you will:

  • Provide project and portfolio management guidance and advice to branch staff, project teams and ITS stakeholders across the enterprise regarding common services such as infrastructure project delivery in areas of project management processes, procedures, and best practices so they are understood and standards are being met and adhered to by the project team.
  • Provide expertise and leadership in the development and management of methodologies for various types of I&IT projects.
  • Provide leadership and business analysis to identify gaps and make recommendations for process improvements as they relate to infrastructure project delivery effectiveness by leveraging best practices models such as LEAN and Six Sigma practices.
  • Oversee the provision of timely, clear, and relevant project reporting to senior management.
  • Deliver regular and ad hoc metrics and project delivery service reports as they relate to infrastructure project delivery performance, leveraging tools such as Power BI dashboards.
  • Provide advice on key aspects of project management such as financial management, resource management, issue/risk management, change management and communication management.
  • Provide advice, guidance and support to project practitioners on project management processes, and the use of an Enterprise Project & Portfolio Management tool such as Planview.

How do I qualify?:


Project Management Skills:


  • You have knowledge of project management methodologies, frameworks, techniques and tools to provide expertise and leadership in project delivery.
  • You have experience in key aspects of project management such as financial management, resource management, issue/risk management, change management and communication management concepts.

Technical Knowledge and Abilities:


  • You have knowledge of Project Management and System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practice policies, processes, activities and technologies, and knowledge of process analysis, planning, integration and implementation activities, including planning, defining and implementing infrastructure project delivery best pract
