- Offer technical underwriting expertise for a Portfolio of Dealership accounts (Property, Casualty, and Garage lines of business)
- Work for a national MGA, assuming risks on behalf of the insurer within established authority levels
- Analyze and assess results for the National Portfolio, ensuring profit and growth objectives are achieved
- Deliver exceptional service to assigned brokers and mentor junior underwriting staff
- Communicate results, industry trends, and business opportunities to the Management team
- Cultivate strong relationships with key brokers to generate new business opportunities
- Provide support for special projects and other necessary tasks
- University/College degree
- Minimum 5 years of Commercial underwriting experience
- CIP designation or in progress
- CRM, FCIP considered as assets
- In-depth technical knowledge in property/casualty and automobile (Garage) lines of business
- Excellent grasp of Commercial underwriting principles and practices
- Thorough familiarity with Regional Commercial rates and pricing, vital for effective underwriting and attracting target business nationwide
- Capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in computer skills, inclusive of Microsoft Office
- Outstanding customer service abilities and business acumen
