- Develop and maintain enterprise architecture frameworks, standards, principles, and technology roadmaps.
- Define target state architectures (business, data, application, technology) and oversee transition planning from current to future states.
- Lead architecture governance processes including architecture review boards, solution assessments, and technical risk reviews.
- Partner with IMIT leadership to ensure technology strategies align with organizational goals and digital transformation initiatives.
- Provide strategic architectural guidance to major programs and projects, ensuring alignment with integration standards, data architecture, cloud strategy, security, and privacy requirements.
- Evaluate and recommend enterprise platforms, technologies, and patterns such as cloud services, interoperability, cybersecurity controls, data management frameworks, and system modernization approaches.
- Collaborate with Solutions Design, Infrastructure, Security, Data & Analytics, and PMO teams to ensure technology investments are cohesive and support enterprise-wide capabilities.
- Conduct impact assessments for new initiatives, identifying technology risks, dependencies, and architectural implications.
- Lead development of architectural artifacts such as capability models, reference architectures, high-level solution designs, system maps, and integration diagrams.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and industry experts to ensure technology decisions reflect modern practices and emerging trends.
- Mentor architects and technical leads, supporting capability growth within the IMIT organization
- Minimum - 5yrs strategic leadership and architectural oversight across technology landscape, ensuring solutions are aligned with business objectives, enterprise standards, security requirements, and long-term IMIT roadmaps.
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
- Certifications such as TOGAF or Zachman (Enterprise Architecture), Azure/AWS Architect Certifications, ITIL Foundation, CISSP, CISM (security knowledge beneficial), -(preferred).
- Additional certifications related to cloud, DevOps, or data architecture – an asset.
- Deep understanding of enterprise architecture domains: business, data, application, and technology.
- Strong knowledge of integration patterns, data flows, cloud architectures, cybersecurity policies, and IT operating models.
- Ability to evaluate complex technology landscapes, identify gaps, and develop forward-looking architectural roadmaps.
- Skilled at balancing strategic vision with practical implementation constraints.
- Strong experience facilitating architecture review boards, governance processes, and technical decision-making forums.
- Ability to influence senior leaders and guide technology strategy across departments.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts into business terms for executives and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong workshop facilitation, documentation, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to work with diverse technical and business teams including security, infrastructure, data, operations, and PMO units.
- Skilled in vendor management and coordinating external specialists.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify risks, evaluate solution options, and anticipate future technology needs.
- Keeps current with emerging trends in cloud, cybersecurity, interoperability, and digital transformation.
