Job Duties

  • Provides excellent customer service, in a Cafeteria Style unit, reinforcing and leading by example; addresses customer complaints in a professional manner
  • Assists with the preparation of all food and beverage and service to customers
  • Ensures areas are safe, clean and wellorganized to meet all customer, client and company needs
  • Ensures procedures for safe food storage, handling and preparation as outlined by Health & Safety Food regulations
  • Maintains inventory levels and ensures stock of organized and rotated
  • Prepares and completes all daily cash reconciliation reports
  • May assist in conducting monthly Workplace Health & Safety Inspections; completes all reports
  • Ensures that staff orientation, training and development activities, including Health & Safety training are according to policy, procedure and guidelines
  • Adheres to all Polices and Procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 12 years food service experience would be an asset
  • Solid knowledge of food service principals, processes, procedures, policies, directives and guidelines
  • Good proficiency and experience with word processing (MS Word), spreadsheets (MS Excel), company software and database programs
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality where mandated or required, particularly as it relates to company business, financial and employee / HR information
  • Solid knowledge of customer service skills to ensure excellent customer service to client and customers
  • Ability to lead, coordinate and supervise the completion of work, providing daytoday oversight; to make recommendations into the hiring, performance evaluation and discipline of staff
  • Current Safe Food Handlers Certificate
  • Current CPR, First Aid and WHMIS Training would be an asset
  • Successful Police Check will be required

  • Supervising: 2 years (preferred)
  • Customer service: 2 years (preferred)
