    As a Junior Business Unit Accountant , you will have the opportunity to work with a talented accounting team in support of KCB's Mining Environmental Group ("MEG").

    Reporting to the Accounting Team Lead, this individual will be responsible for a variety of project and business unit accounting functions The role of Junior Business Unit Accountant will not provide fulfill CPA designation requirements, but it doescomes with the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule and will provide you with the opportunity to:

    Ensure project-related invoicing is processed accurately and in a timely manner
    Oversee and coordinate all project accounting activities including time transfers, project revenue adjustments and non-chargeable effort for designated projects
    Setup and close projects, bill rate, budgets, change order maintenance
    Assist in preparing monthly project and expense analysis reports
    Process project expenses
    Review employee expense reports and vendor invoices for projects
    Collaborating with Project Manager to identify solutions to streamline work
    Maintain project related documentation and requirements including contracts, addendums, modifications of purchase and service orders.
    We respect that you might just be graduating and looking to begin your career. A degree or diploma in accounting
    Previous project accounting experience is an asset
    Proficient in MS Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook
    Experience using ERP project accounting systems
    Understand GAAP and accounting controls
