- Manage the flow of information into and out of the Fleet Management System (FMS)/ MineStar Terrain system and channel this information towards Short-Term, Medium-Term and Long-Term Planning.
- Liaise with Engineering and Maintenance departments to achieve daily production targets.
- Quality control, ensuring that all work within the Dispatch area is carried out efficiently and consistently, adhering to site and corporate operating procedures and policies.
- Lead, generate, coordinate, and support initiatives (both internal and external) related to the data acquisition systems as "Site Champion" following the site and corporate guidelines while coordinating with the FMS Project Coordinator, Engineering and Operations team.
- Fulfill the stakeholders data requirements by developing and deploying reports on-site or by third parties using appropriate platforms (i.e., Excel, PowerBI, Wenco and MineStar terrain reporting templates).
- Monitor KPIs and work with the Ops Team to optimize overall cycle times and equipment productivities.
- Generate daily end of shift, weekly, monthly, global metrics, and regulatory reports to stakeholders.
- Effectively communicate with management regarding production shortfalls and areas of opportunity based on available data.
- Train relevant persons on Mine Control Systems; Dispatchers, Equipment Operators and General Foremen on the effective use of the FMS systems.
- Investigate and report system problems to internal and external support personnel and work towards resolutions.
- Schedule, coordinate and supervise technical upgrades and activities of associated systems to maintain systems functionality and data integrity.
- Provide hands-on assistance during operations activities and ensure that safe work practices are followed.
- Other duties as required.
Education, Experience & Qualifications - Degree in Mining Engineering, or a related field.
- P.Eng. or registered EIT working towards their P. Eng.
- Valid Driver's License
- At least 2 years' experience in an open pit mining environment.
- Prior experience in using Fleet Management Systems and CAD software is considered an asset.
Technical Competencies & Skills - Ability to adhere to a 5x2 schedule with 8-hour shifts.
- Must be able to communicate in English.
- Proven safety and attendance record.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, etc.
- Prior experience with IT Programming, SQL Scripting, and managing and developing reports and databases is considered advantageous.
- Capability to work effectively with diverse teams across operational, maintenance, engineering, and IT departments, contributing to operational objectives, risk management, and compliance with corporate standards.
- High level of attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with effective verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision and to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Capability to build strong working relationships internally and with diverse groups, including operational, maintenance, engineering, and IT staff.
Wage and Benefits

Specifically for the Efficiency Engineer role, we offer an annual base salary range of $90, $105,000.00, along with a variety of bonuses, including a monthly efficiency bonuses based on safety and production targets, and quarterly retention bonuses.
