Job Purpose


To manage and take responsibility for digital marketing activity to maximize the use of new digital channels, create new business opportunities and efficiencies in significant paid search budgets.

To support service departments with digital activity to improve client retention.


Job Overview


The Head of Digital Marketing oversees the day-to-day, granular digital marketing activity of the organisation and drives digital marketing initiatives for the company, ensuring the growth of our key revenue streams.

You will be responsible for leading the digital marketing team, continuing their training and development to add greater benefit to the business.


Day-to-Day Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain, develop and implement the digital marketing strategy to ensure the business has an optimised online presence. With a focus on continual website improvement, paid search, lead generation and supporting channel activity
  • Management and handson involvement in all campaigns to maximise new business opportunities and client retention.
  • To own the use of new digital channels such as programmatic and the expansion of paid social media activity to grow lead generation opportunities.
  • Work alongside the development team to maintain the Peninsula website with a key focus on customer experience and lead generation.
  • Work closely with the SEO team to ensure keyword targets align with growth goals, and that all onsite and offsite activity is driving performance improvements.
  • Collaborate with the marketing automation lead to assist with the delivery of digital marketing programmes that support sales and service processes or nurture data to be sales ready.
  • Oversee digital marketing spend to drive better ROI, campaign efficiency and cost management through a cost analysis report.
  • Develop strong relationships with all internal teams to explore all marketing opportunities.
  • Manage the workflow and priorities of the team, assigning tasks, projects and activities.
  • Provide timely and reliable management information to key stakeholders within the business.

Essential Skills and Competencies:


  • 7+ years' experience of managing successful marketing strategies using a wide range of digital and offline channels, delivering ambitious growth targets and controlling costs.
  • A proven track record of driving commercial growth through flawless execution of a robust marketing strategy in a fast paced, resultsdriven environment
  • Experience leading a team, with proven ability to motivate and coach.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
