    Classification: Sr. Financial Analyst

    Compensation: DOE

    Our client, a publicly listed company, seeks a Senior Financial Analyst with a strong analytical background to support a number of key initiatives. This role will start out on a 6-month contract and has the potential extension.

    Reporting directly to the Manager of Finance, your responsibilities will include:

    Prepare and reconcile month end, quarter end and year reports, in accordance with IFRS, including JEs, Intangibles, PPE, Prepaids, G& A, R& D, prepaids (LT and ST), accruals, service fee and other internal reports

    work with technical accounting to ensure alignment with existing policies

    Reconciliations and variance reporting

    Project reporting

    Assist with the SR& ED claim

    Assist with internal and external audit

    -prepare complex journal entries and approve/post entries prepared by others.

    Job Requirements:

    To be considered for this opportunity, you are a designated Senior Financial Analyst (CPA or equivalent), with at least 5 years of full cycle accounting experience. You are comfortable working in a very complex and structured environment.

    In addition to the above, the following skills and experience are also desired:

    Experience assisting with D365 and strong advanced EXCEL skills

    Strong attention to detail

    Superior communication skills

    A keen eye for process improvement
