What does the Learning & Development Facilitator do?

  • The Facilitator will assist the company with internal effectiveness in achieving support and training cohesiveness across all product lines and their support departments, including our current initiatives.
Here are some of the main tasks that you can expect to come across your desk on a regular basis:


  • Train new hires and provide resources and materials needed to transition them into their new roles
  • Schedule and facilitate live broker / employee learning sessions, primarily utilizing a virtual setting
  • Schedule and facilitate employee coaching sessions, primarily utilizing a virtual setting
  • Coordinate the delivery of industryprovided learning for all branches when needed
  • Track metrics regarding training completion, satisfaction, and identifying opportunities for curriculum improvement
  • Communicate with Leadership & Management teams concerning employee / broker training progress
  • Organize / Facilitate Employee Learning Workshops when needed, primarily utilizing a virtual setting
  • Assist in the development of BIG Learning Content research & creation as needed
  • Assist & support the Manager, Learning & Development through completion of assigned tasks & projects as needed

Passionate mentor, teacher, and facilitator

  • Experience in Sales & Customer Service in the insurance industry
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills
  • Confident selfstarter, requires mínimal supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication (written and oral) skills
  • Excellent organizational & time management skills
  • Demonstrably creative, with strong attention to detail
  • Technology literate
  • Proficient in virtual training technology

Qualifications & Experience:


  • RIBO licensed
  • 3+ years' broker experience
  • 2+ years' experience working with others in a coaching/training setting
  • Completed or actively pursuing CIP or CAIB designations preferred
  • Prior experience working in Learning & Development content creation an asset
  • Prior experience working with elearning content & LMS software an asset
