    Description

    Plains Midstream Canada (PMC) is an industry-leading transportation and midstream provider specializing in transportation, storage, processing and marketing solutions for crude oil and natural gas liquids (NGLs).

    PMC also operates strategically-located facilities for crude oil and NGL storage, separates NGL from natural gas and fractionates NGL into pure liquid petroleum gas (LPG) products, including propane and butane.

    Plains is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill a one-year term position within Our Operational Accounting department.

    Reporting to the Manager you will be responsible for month end close, settlement, report preparation, management accounting, and reporting activities.

    We work in a fast-paced environment that requires superb organizational skills and the ability to move quickly from task to task and project to project.

    This is a hybrid position, combining work at our Calgary office with working from home.

    Plains provides a top tier group benefit plan for fixed-term employees and their eligible dependents through Sun Life. Performing monthly account reconciliations, investigating any intercompany discrepancies, and following up with various departments to resolve any issues
    Preparation and booking of trucking invoices and accruals
    Monthly account reconciliations
    University degree with a concentration in accounting preferred
    ~Successful completion of online skills test
    ~ CPA designation or nearly completed CPA designation is an asset
    ~ Proficient Microsoft Office Suite skills—must possess advanced Excel
    ~ AX Dynamics, Oracle Fusion and RightAngle Experience is an asset
