IT Infrastructure Analyst - Calgary, Canada - Helical Pile Solutions
Description
Reporting to the Manager, IT Infrastructure, the IT Infrastructure Analyst is key to the successful operation of the Network, Server, and Microsoft 365 infrastructure.
Key Accountabilities:
Infrastructure - Overall
- Provide technical expertise for the setup and installation of infrastructure in line with corporate and project objectives.
- Perform installation and maintenance for all network infrastructure as well as onpremises and cloud server hardware.
- Perform regular infrastructure reviews to ensure systems are not compromised and are updated with appropriate vendor patches.
- Support the deallocation of infrastructure in line with company policy and applicable regulations.
- Track all hours in ticketing system to facilitate company billing transfers for Java IT Supported Group of Companies.
- Work collaboratively with other teams within all Java Group of Companies.
Primary Responsibility - Network
- Provide secure network solutions to integrate business units to ensure transparent and secure information access.
- Perform Firewall installation, configuration, and ongoing management.
- Perform Network Device (Switch, Router) installation, configuration, and ongoing management.
- Assist with Wireless Network Management (Access Controller, Access Points, SSID Management).
- Support secure remote access solutions including VPN.
- Ensure appropriate network services are designed, implemented, and maintained (DHCP, DNS, VLAN, IP schemes).
- Assist with SSL and Web Domain Management.
- Ensure Data Centre cleanliness and cabling standards are met.
- Support legacy phone PBX and VOIP phone systems.
Secondary Responsibility - Server
- Ensure sharing of company data is in line with policies and procedures within the Java Holdings Ltd. group and to external partners.
- Assist with overall Active Directory Domain Management including Local Domains and Azure Active Directory.
- Assist with Office 365 Tenant Management.
- Assist with user permission management on networked and cloudbased storage locations.
- Assist with development and implementation of server and storage device backup and retention.
- Assist with 3rd party authentications to facilitate single signon.
Requirements:
Education and Work Experience Required:
- Postsecondary education in Computer Science or similar equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant work experience with a focus on network, server and system administration.
- Solid Networking skills (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, Firewalls, Switches & Access Points).
- Experience with Meraki, Fortinet, Dell, and Barracuda networking technologies.
- Experience in managing Windows Server, VMWare, Hyper-V, Active Directory, and Microsoft 36
- Experience in management of storage and data backup systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio).
- Good understanding of Cloud computing environments with a focus on Microsoft Azure and AWS.
- Experience in authentication and single sign on for hybrid environments.
Skills and Other Experience Desired:
- IT Certification e.g., MCSE, MCSA, ITIL, CCNA, CCNP, etc. would be considered an asset.
- Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
- Energetic, goal oriented, detail conscious and methodical in their approach to projects.
- Excellent work ethic, good written / verbal communication skills and able to communicate effectively over various mediums while maintaining IT department's commitment to customer excellence.
- Experience managing multistakeholder, fast moving, complex projects.

- Positive attitude, team player, and change agent.
Other Position Requirements:
- Afterhours oncall availability in accordance with company policy.
- Valid driver's license and potential use of a personal vehicle for travel.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time and use a computer.
- Lifting of computers, servers, and peripheral devices.
- Stay informed on new and emerging trends and technologies.
- Continual building of skills with training and certification.
