Job Summary:

The Yard Worker will assist and support plant personnel to efficiently process orders to customer specifications.


This is a DAY/AFTERNOON rotating position that will work 7:00 am - 3:00 pm and 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm (+.75 shift premium).



The Yard Worker works outdoors so working in the elements is a requirement.

Due to our safety sensitive work environment, employment is conditional upon successfully passing a medical assessment including drug testing.

Responsibilities:


  • Comply with workplace policies and procedures (operational and health and safety)
  • Complete preinspection equipment reports before each shift
  • Accurately pick material for shipment to customer
  • Ensure safe procedures are followed while loading and unloading material on or off trucks
  • Perform all housekeeping responsibilities
  • Comply with workplace policies and procedures (operational and health and safety)

Job Requirements:


  • Proficiency in the English language (reading, writing)
  • Able to work as a team and independently
  • Ability to work in a fastpace environment
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferable:


  • Relevant experience with the ability to operate forklift, overhead crane, and band saw as required

Hourly Rate:
$26.92
