    Join our team as a Financial Sales Manager at Scotiabank!

    Is this role right for you?

    • Manage a defined territory to generate sales and develop new business
    • Lead by establishing long-lasting relationships, servicing existing clients and prospecting for new ones
    • Use in-depth knowledge of our products, practice management skills, and interpersonal skills to increase sales and retain assets
    • Arrange meetings with financial advisors to promote company products and services; approximately 20 meetings a week
    • Assign daily tasks to the ISR and the SA for follow-up
    • Schedule and host Events, Roadshows, and Manager Meetings
    • Develop a strategic business plan for the year and review it quarterly with the team to increase sales
    • Segment the client base to define service levels and ensure sales from various distribution channels and firms
    • Maintain client relationships using territory rotations to increase sales and diversify product usage
    • Make daily client calls and submit expenses for the region
    • Data mine and populate the CRM system with all the information retrieved during meetings
    • Respond to client inquiries and follow up on leads
    • Generate and develop new business relationships
    • Mentor the ISR through coaching and feedback
    • Present to advisors on new products and strategies
    • Work within a supportive team environment to meet or exceed company sales objectives
    • Special projects involvement as required
    • Adhere to Scotiabank Global Sales Principles

    Do you have the skills to enable you to be successful in this role? We would love to work with you if you have:

    • Minimum bachelor's degree in a field such as commerce, finance, or business administration
    • Must be Bilingual (FRE/ENG)
    • Progression into roles with increasing responsibility within the financial services industry
    • 5+ years of sales experience and territory management
    • Completion of CSC and/or IFIC certification
    • Team player with basic knowledge of MS Office
    • Experience with Customer Relationship Management systems
    • Enrollment in an industry designation program (CIM, CFA, CFP, etc.) preferred
    • Detail-oriented with strong time-management skills
    • Strong public speaking and presentation skills
    • Up-to-date knowledge of financial services industry trends
    • Pro-active self-starter with the ability to maximize sales
    • Ability to travel extensively
