    Application Production Support EngineerLocation: Montréal QC H3A 2A6Email:
    .comDescription;Provide technical and functional support for key Global Markets applications. In coverage schedules between 9 am and 9 pm (in winter from 8 pm to 8 pm)Analyze existing tasks and procedures in order to optimize and automate those using standards and tools approved by BNP ParibasProvide technical and functional support to business users, mainly in North America, but also worldwideIdentify, resolve and monitor production incidents, in consultation with the application production support team, business users, infrastructure teams and internal and external support teams.

    Diagnose and resolve data processing problemsSupport technical and business analysts in defining application production problemsParticipate in technical analyses, obtaining information on requirements and user acceptance testing for changes in the field of application production supportParticipate in disaster recovery trials (evening and weekend work)Support changes in production environments (evening and weekend work)Work with the development team and suppliers to provide temporary solutions and upgrade application platform softwareAnalyze and improve existing procedures and tasks.

    Improve the implementation of the Geneos service monitoring tool and make missing checks on automation and applicationsAnalyze and suggest improvements to our current production monitoring and warning process.

    Maintain existing production-related procedures, processes, and tools with a view to improving their efficiency and enabling the Applications Production Support, Montreal World Markets team to perform more value-added tasks.

    The strengths and skills that will help you succeedTechnical and functional support experience in an environment in contact with clients5 years of practice in a production environment, preferable in the financial fieldGood technical understanding of SQL; ability to carry out research using descriptive data and to provide updates as necessaryKnowledge of scripting languagesExcellent written and oral communication skillsAnalytical, documentation and problem-solving skillsGood organizational skills; concern for customer serviceExperience in the financial domainEnglish is requiredKnowledge of Unix and LinuxAbility to work in teams and take initiative
