Team Lead Electrician - Guelph, Canada - Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions
Description
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced licensed Electrician to join our team as the Electrical Facilitator/ lead.You'll lead our hourly electrical assembly team while working alongside them handling the hands-on assembly (approx % of the role) and providing your team with guidance and ensuring the production goals and outputs are met, a safe work environment is maintained, and that the team adheres to our quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and work with the electrical department to complete work on time, within budget, with high quality standards
- Able to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
- Perform electrical wiring techniques (stripping, terminating, crimping)
- Ensures that ISO 9001 quality system requirements are met, prepare and maintain work procedures and instruction
- Approximately 6080% of time will be spent performing assembly requirements associated with area job description; the remaining time is spent identifying/ resolving project issues
- Coordinates with crossfunctional teams and supervisors to identify and resolve production assembly issues
- Provide supervisors with feedback of team performance with respect to EHS, Quality, and Compliance
- Responsible for assessing and "ordering" needed consumables (conduit, wire fittings etc.) and ensuring materials are available in a timely manner to not delay project execution
- Identify errors in parts or supplies within Bills of Materials and report issues to Supervisor, Planning, Engineering, and Sourcing
Requirements:
- Electrician's licence
- 5+ years directly related to the job experience
- Team Leadership experience
- Blueprint and schematic reading experience
- Must be able to work under mínimal supervision
- Operate a wide variety of machinery as part of the manufacturing processes
- Fabricate, assemble, and hydrotest PVC, PP, and PVDF pipe spools.
- Perform selfinspection to verify that all components are installed, tested and match applicable drawings and sign QA documentation.
- SAP knowledge
Nice to have:
Experience with PLCs and robotics systems will be considered an asset

$30.00 per hour
