The Senior Operations Manager oversees the production of large welded equipment which includes machining, cutting and welding. He (she) provides the leadership necessary to improve the team's performance until reaching maximum levels of quality, service, efficiency and safety. The incumbent of this position is responsible for delivering parts and assemblies that meet expectations for performance, quality and time. The Senior Operations Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the operations organization, including production supervision and staffing, production engineering, purchasing, planning, logistics and quality maintenance of the factory. Provide ongoing supervision, coaching and guidance to staff and other employees, guiding them in their current positions and in career development and training.
    Deliver a quality product on time. Maintain and monitor ASME installation code stickers, sections I, IV and VIII.
    ~ Responsible for making cost estimates for internal projects and arranging to bid and agree terms.

    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in engineering, production or industrial sciences, an asset.

    Experience leading continuous improvement and lean management programs, hands-on production experience, preferably welding, production and assembly in a low volume/high complexity environment.

    The ideal candidate will have experience in the steel, chemical, electrical, or oil and gas industries.

    Ability to work fluently in French and English, bilingual Other useful qualifications:

    Advanced degree, an asset Experience in lean manufacturing to improve processes Understanding of ASME/AWS welding codes Experience in a production environment with customers at 'international.

The Senior Operations Manager oversees the fabrication of large welded equipment which includes Machining, cutting, and welding.     This position is responsible for ultimately delivering parts and assemblies that meet performance, quality, and time expectations Key Responsibilities:

    The Senior Operations Manager will manage all aspect of the Operations organization including Production supervision and staff, Production Engineering, Purchasing, Planning, Logistics, Quality Plant Maintenance.

    Deliver a quality product on time.

    Maintain and control the facilities ASME Code stamps, Sections I, IV and VIII.
