Description

Currently Technica is seeking a self-motivated individual to join our growing team as a Heavy Duty Mechanic in Mine Development. There are open positions available in support positions as well as, on the beat, both will assist our maintenance team in their efforts to maintain and progress our long term, camp projects in Dubreuilville , Ontario. The key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Key Responsibilities:

Support remote/camp projects in Dubreuilville , Ontario
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical failures of motorized equipment
Perform daily equipment inspections
Test repaired equipment for proper performance to ensure work meets manufacturers specifications
Maintain accurate and up-to-date service logs and documentation
Order parts as required to complete repairs
Follow daily line-ups and executing scheduled work in accordance with health and safety standards as well as manufacturer specifications

REQUIREMENTS

421A Heavy Duty Equipment Technician – Journey Person Candidate or;
Licensed 310T Truck and Coach Technician or;
Licensed 310S Automotive Service Technician
Basic Underground Hard Rock Mining Common Core (U0000, U0001, U0002, & U00012) or equivalent provincial designation is preferred
Minimum of three (3) years' underground experience is preferred
Strong diagnostic skills to troubleshoot and repair equipment
Strong technical aptitude to use digital platforms used for work orders, email, etc.
High level of self-motivation and autonomy
Committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment
Ability to commute to work

Schedule:

7 on 7 off (Days and Nights)
10.5 hour shifts
