- Perform daily preventative and emergency maintenance on facility equipment and building systems
- Maintain daily logs for system checks
- Carry out repairs as directed and as necessary to all types of building equipment and systems
- Care for and maintain hospital equipment and tools
- Assist with the installation and removal of equipment
- Deliver and pick up equipment and supplies as needed
- Complete minor building construction, carpentry, repairs and paint projects as needed
- Maintain and operate all equipment related to Grounds Keeping –experienced zero turn operator, chain saw/pole saw, tree pruning, gardening and flower beds.
- Must possess and have proven skills and experience related to the care and repair of building systems which may include and is not limited to the following: preventive and general maintenance of equipment and buildings as well as facility properties, general plumbing, electrical, carpentry and painting;
- Proven work history for operating zero turn, chainsaw/pole saw, and grounds keeping experience. Chainsaw license would be an asset;
- Must possess a current and valid G driver's license;
- Be knowledgeable with WHMIS and the Occupational Health and Safety Act;
- Proven work history with regards to being punctual, dependable, and work with minimal supervision and a team player in an ever changing environment.
- Satisfactory performance and attendance required
- Satisfactory Reference Checks required prior to start date
- Must provide a Police Vulnerable Sector Check
- Must complete a Pre-Employment Health Assessment including providing proof of full COVID vaccination prior to being hired
- As per department schedule, must be available to work Monday through Sunday, days and evenings, on an as needed basis
