The Project Management Office (PMO) supports Business Services and its various Business Units by managing key initiatives, projects and programs that drive process improvement, new product/service offerings and supporting operational systems and processes which drive service excellence and top line revenue growth in accordance with Business Services strategic goals.


Reporting to the chief of staff, this role will be responsible for the development and innovation of Business Services product offerings by adopting a rigor product management framework.

This includes defining the product strategy, design and roadmap for the product including market research and analysis.

You will need to work collaboratively with marketing, sales, front and back-office teams to develop the go to market strategy.

You will be a key spokesperson for your products internally and externally and will need to be comfortable engaging with customers, partners, and internal teams.


A role you will love


The Product and Innovation Manager will be responsible for all stage gates of product development including the ideation, validation, opportunity launch, early adoption, and transition to BAU.

In addition to identifying new product opportunities, you will be responsible for identifying evolution, rebranding, and repackaging opportunities.


You will also conduct market research including competitor analysis to inform business decisions and look at market product assessments to innovate solutions addressing current market trends and business opportunities that align to strategic goals.

Lastly, you will put forth business case recommendations based on emerging trends and growth opportunities, taking into consideration the valuation of external vendors and shared services (business partners) to ensure profit margins are maximized.

In this key role for our business, you will primarily be responsible for the following:

  • Responsible for maintaining service relationship with business partners and customers as it relates to product enhancement and scoping market needs.
  • Overall responsibility for the development and direction of research aimed at improving current products and generating ideas for new products and services
  • Work closely with business development teams to review and use existing customer insights to also aid in innovation
  • Ensure all new product development initiatives from ideation to execution adhere to regional risk and compliance policies
  • Provide recommendations to management on actively pursuing or abandoning new product or service offering ideas subsequent to the completion of financial and viability analysis during the new product development processes
  • Communicates the value proposition of the products to the sales team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of your products. Work closely with the sales and marketing team to drive product awareness and lead generation
  • Market intelligence be the expert on your customers, how they buy and their buying criteria; be the expert on your competition and how to crush them. Remain up to date with industry trends, new product and service offerings as well industry/regulatory changes that could present opportunities for new products or services
  • Participating in formal project and product planning exercises with regard to required functionality enhancements and new product features.
  • Collaborate with Product Owner regularly to ensure product development phases are properly scoped distinguishing between prototype, MVP and MMP
  • Coordinate directly with a project manager assigned to deploy the new product/service when deemed applicable

What will you bring to the role?
To excel in this role, it is expected that you will possess much of the following experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, product management or related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in a product, client relationship and/or project management capacity
  • Proven track record of developing new innovative product verticals from original concepts to launch
  • Proven record collaborating with and influencing functional peers to deliver novel product solutions
  • 12 years of project management experience managing small to medium sized projects, with a proven track record of successful delivery of projects on time, in line with budget expectations and to strategy

Preferred:

  • Master's degree in business; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
