We are looking for a
Data Analyst for a
1-year contract position,
with
possible extensions in
Calgary, Alberta. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Hybrid schedule, at least 4 days in the office. 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week. It is NOT a remote role.

Role Summary

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to understand data requirements, identify gaps, and develop strategies for data integration, optimization, and modernization.
Analyze and assess existing data management systems, processes, and technologies to identify areas for improvement and develop recommendations for changes that provide direct business value.
Participate in the migration of data management systems to a defined modern standard, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and consistency throughout the process.
Develop and implement data governance policies, procedures, and controls to ensure data integrity, compliance, and accessibility across the organization.
Evaluate the effectiveness of data management systems and processes and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Assist in the development of data management training materials and provide guidance to team members and stakeholders on best practices for data handling and usage.
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data management to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of data innovation.

Key Competencies and Demonstrated Skills

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.

Minimum of 6 years of experience in data analysis, data management, or a related field

Oil & Gas experience is a plus

Strong knowledge of data management principles, including data integration, data quality, data governance, master data management, and data architecture

Experience with data migration, modernization, and optimization projects

Experience with data visualization and reporting tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or Spotfire
:

Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to data management and governance.
Excellent problemsolving, critical thinking, and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with crossfunctional teams and present complex information to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, with a strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering highquality results.

Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages, such as SQL, Python, R, or SAS is a plus

Prior experience with ERP/SAP, HRIS/Workday, ETRM/Allegro is a plus.
