- Lead, inspire & supervise a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure their success.
- Coordinate and prioritize maintenance tasks, ensuring they are completed efficiently and on time.
- Perform hands-on maintenance work, including repairs, installations, and troubleshooting, utilizing your expertise in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or general building maintenance.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to create a safe working environment for the team and eliminate hazards and/or risks.
- Take a collaborative approach with other departments to ensure maintenance needs are met, fostering a culture of teamwork and cooperation.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment maintenance logs, and inventory.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in maintenance to continuously improve our operations.
- Establish and maintain maintenance standards and develop and recommend maintenance programs
- Install new equipment using outside services if required
- Maintain the equipment and facility through preventive/predictive maintenance program
- Consults the work orders and personal logbook for jobs to be done
- Keep equipment and facility in working condition for maximum uptime
- A Technical / High School diploma or equivalent trade certification
- Fully skilled in one or more trades (level 3 Maintenance or electrician preferred)
- Five (5) or more years of proven experience in a maintenance role, with a strong background in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or general building maintenance or millwright.
- Basic welding skills
- Knowledgeable in different controls (i.e. Fanuc, Siemens)
- Advanced knowledge in troubleshooting servo motors, drivers, encoders etc.
- Able to read and understand all codes and regulations
- Proven experience in a maintenance role, with a strong background in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or general building maintenance.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
- Automotive manufacturing experience is required
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with team members and other departments.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor as required.
- Able to perform tasks independently under general direction.
- Ability to supervise and train apprentices and maintenance laborer.
- Ability to work all rotating shifts.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
