Description
Leads, manages, and holds their direct reports accountable.

  • Trains, motivates, and mentors their direct reports.
  • Leads weekly Level 10 meetings with all direct reports and attends Management Level 10's.
  • Takes service phone calls and is directly involved with infield customer issue resolution.
  • Responsible for observing service personnel in repair circumstances and for providing the coaching necessary to develop safe, clean, efficient, and effective highquality work habits.
  • Oversees all administrative functions necessary to support the work order process (open/close, labor posting, sublet repairs, internal & external parts, pictures, etc.).
  • Maintains strong working relations with the parts and sales departments.
  • Assists in the preparation of service quotes as needed for Sales and/or PSSR's proposals and assists the sales department as needed in evaluating used equipment for trade in.
  • Makes recommendations for tooling, equipment, service vehicles, and other facility asset purchases and ensures that they are maintained and in good working order.
  • Maintains positive working relationships with manufacturers.
  • Responsible for working with training personnel to ensure direct reports are receiving regular technical and safety training.
  • Responsible for safety issues, ensure safe operating procedures, and responsible to coordinate safety meetings on a regular basis.
  • Review monthly shop inspections and ensure any necessary corrective actions are completed.
  • Responsible for working with HR to help recruit and hire service employees.
  • Responsible for holding formal employee performance reviews yearly as well as conduct quarterly conversations with direct reports.
  • Helps to conduct salary reviews annually for each service technician, and wage reviews based on employee performance when warranted.
  • Responsible for the morale and discipline of the service personnel working within company policies, including termination, if necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the VP of Operations.
