FCNQ was established in 1967 to provide the rapidly growing cooperative movement with more effective powers and services to help attain their vision "Atautsikut" Together—working to develop as a people, leaving none behind.


You will have to play an important role in the northern supply chain for our 14 cooperatives located in Nunavik.

You will help support daily operations and contribute to the development of a united team where each of us works in a spirit of collaboration and mutual support with an open and cohesive approach, rallying behind decisions aimed at achieving our common goals and initiatives.


Under the authority of the manager, you must make deliveries to the airport, pick up orders and returns from our suppliers as well as warehouse transfers.


Responsibilities:


  • Inspect the systems, equipment and accessories of trucks such as tires, headlights and indicators, brakes and refrigerated compartments before, during and after the trip;
  • Carry out emergency roadside repairs, if necessary;
  • Immediately inform the supervisor of any irregularity or defect in the truck;
  • Communicate with dispatchers, other truckers and customers over the phone;
  • Make the deliveries required by the supervisor and ensure that the supplier return forms are signed;
  • Make sure that the merchandise is in good condition and securely in the truck when there are orders to pick up from suppliers;
  • Unload the merchandise from the truck and give the invoices to the reception clerk once returned to the federation;
  • Load and secure the truck and the load;
  • Transfer pallets and merchandise from one warehouse to another as needed;
  • Prepare pallets for the Montreal airport;
  • Help the 19400 with the loading of the containers in the downtime;
  • Keep trucks clean and in good condition;
  • Any other related tasks requested by the manager.

Requirements:


  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience;
  • A valid class 3 driver's licence issued by the SAAQ;
  • An excellent driving record;
  • Forklift operator training;
  • Hold a certificate in the transport of hazardous materials (an asset);
  • Knowledge of mechanics (an asset);
  • Must be able to communicate in French and English, both orally and in writing;
  • Work efficiently and manage time well;
  • Able to work in a team, with a positive attitude;
  • Responsible, punctual and dynamic.
**Note:
WORK CONDITIONS

  • Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week;
