Libro has an opening for a passionately accountable Full-time Wealth Compliance Officer.

This role will ensure all mutual fund licensed staff through Credential Asset Management understand and adopt compliant policies, procedures and practices in order to confirm Owners/Mutual Fund Clients always receive suitable investment advice and recommendations.

Provide advice, support, and training to our Wealth teams within all Libro branches. Could you be Libro?

This role is licensed and dually employed between Libro Credit Union and Credential Asset Management.

  • This is a contract role that will begin January 2023 and end December 2024*Location is to be confirmed; role is eligible for flexible work arrangements including a combination of remote and inoffice work. With office locations in London, Essex and Caledonia.

The Epic Human we are looking for will:
Review and approval of all mutual fund transactions in accordance with the Know Your Client information to ensure investments meet the stated objectives
Monitor activities of newly licensed staff as part of the New Rep Supervision requirements
Monthly review of files for newly licensed reps during the 2nd 90 Day Supervision period
Review and approval of all Credential sales communications between licensed reps and Owners
Responsible to ensure all mutual fund licensed staff are appropriately licensed through Credential Asset Management Inc. through the Ontario Securities Commission
Act as main contact to license any new staff for positions requiring mutual fund license
Responsible for licensing new branches and transfers of branches to Credential

Notify the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC), Mutual Fund Dealer Association (MFDA) and Credential Asset Management (CAM) of all changes affecting licensing.

Monitor Outside business activity for licensed staff and ensure an annual declaration for Credential Asset Management
Facilitate and deliver mutual fund compliance, policy, product and procedure training to all newly licensed and existing Credential staff
Provide Branch and Team Support as required on wealth related inquiries

Complete required reporting
Other duties as required


Qualifications Required:

A diploma in the financial sector with some business courses. Minimum 4-6 years of related experience would be an asset

Completion of Investment Funds of Canada Course (IFIC/ICB) or the Canadian Securities Course (CSC)

C ompletion of the Branch Compliance Officer's Course (BCO) (IFIC/ICB/CSI)

Required to have been mutual fund licensed for a period of 2 years

Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

Ability to deal with sensitive issues and maintain a high level of confidentiality

Knowledgeable of products and services in the area of Investments, Mutual Funds and Registered plans
