Qualifications:
Essential:
- Postsecondary education in information technology, programming, accounting or auditing. A relevant combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) Designation or passed CISA exam and working towards designation.
- Ability to research, analyze and interpret complex IT concepts to assess IT risks and control effectiveness, including IT governance, structure, security controls, operations and system functions.
- Strong understanding and working knowledge of generally accepted IT frameworks and standards (COBIT, ISO 27001, ISO27005, ITIL, NIST etc.).
- Excellent written communication skills for the purposes of writing technical content using clear, concise language that is easily understood.
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with a diverse group of stakeholders.
- Experience supervising, coaching and mentoring auditors.
- Strong organizational skills to manage competing priorities and tight timelines.
- Strong interpersonal skills for the purposes of building and maintaining positive working relationships with a variety of people, groups, and organizations.
Desired:
- Other IT related designation such as CISSP, CRISC, CIA, CPA, etc.
- Experience performing data analytics in support of audits.
Duties:
Working with an engagement leader, the Manager also conducts all aspects of IT performance audits for public reporting, to ensure the audits are carried out in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards, COBIT, and Office practices.
The Manager ensures thorough, efficient and effective audit plans are in place and that conclusions are supported by sufficient and appropriate audit evidence.
The Manager develops draft audit reports ensuring that the audit, program or entity being audited, findings, conclusions and recommendations are clearly and concisely described.
