- Conducting market and industry research, detailed financial analysis, and business valuations
- Creating pitch books, teasers, CIMs, and other M&A documentation
- Leading the day-to-day execution and delivery of corporate finance and deal advisory projects
- Identifying potential acquisition targets, purchasers, or investors
- Assessing company-specific business environments and key drivers
- Developing and reviewing financial models
- Supervising, mentoring, and training junior corporate finance professionals
- Managing engagement and practice obligations, including billing and adherence to professional standards
- Driving proactive business development and deal initiation activities
- Preferred CPA, CBV, and/or CFA designation
- 4 - 6 years of relevant post-graduate experience in Corporate Finance or related fields like transaction advisory, investment banking, commercial/corporate banking, private equity, management consulting, or corporate development
- Demonstrated track record in project initiation and execution within a fast-paced professional environment
- Strong technical finance skills, including financial statement knowledge and accounting principles
- Experience or ability in training and developing junior team members
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

KPMG is looking for an experienced Associate Vice President (Manager) to join the Deal Advisory team in Region West.
Within Deal Advisory, KPMG Corporate Finance Inc. serves as the OSC regulated entity for KPMG LLP's investment banking services in Canada. Its services include merger, acquisition, and divestiture advice, as well as raising debt and equity capital.
We provide independent financial advisory and investment banking services to both public and private companies. With a vast international network of over 2,600 corporate finance professionals in 160 offices across 86 countries, KPMG Corporate Finance offers broad local coverage and established connections.
What you will do
As an experienced Associate Vice President in Corporate Finance, you will report to our Vice Presidents and Managing Directors. You will be a self-starter with a passion for mergers and acquisitions and capital markets, leveraging your expertise to execute transactions for our clients.
