    TEMPORARY Engineering / Architecture
    Description

    Our client is a global engineering, design, and construction company that is focusing on sustainable development. We are looking for an Accountant to join the team on a 1 year contract. In this role, you will have the opportunity to assist the team with statutory reporting and audits and collaborate closely with global teams.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assisting with statutory reporting: preparation of the annual financial statements & reporting packages, including the financial statement note disclosures under IFRS (or local GAAP where applicable).
    • Supporting the team with year-end reporting and other activities.
    • Replying to audit requests ensuring that these are completed in a timely manner.
    • Contributing to the production of technical accounting and board paper reports.
    • Assisting with performing a detailed variance analysis.
    • Collaborating with other departments to analyze supporting schedules and find ways to improve current reporting efficiency and accuracy.
    • Providing ad-hoc support as needed.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or Economics.
    • CPA designation or equivalent or in process of receiving one - preferred.
    • Experience in Financial Reporting and Statutory Accounting environments.
    • Solid knowledge of IFRS principles and their applications.
    • Previous experience working in multinational organizations - preferred.
    • Experience working with MS Office and deep understanding of Excel.
    • Ability to work with multinational teams in an agile manner within a complex and changing business environment.
