YOUR CONTRIBUTION


Upon your arrival, you will support the PMO team in the establishment of project management systems used for the planning and cost control of our Business Development projects.

You will report to the Project Controls lead.

As the PCC, you will have the responsibility to support and coordinate the production and the updating of Work Breakdown Structures, project schedules, cost estimates, project staffing plan and various control databases.

You will perform analysis, progress monitoring and reporting.

You will interact daily with work package leaders, gathering and analyzing critical project performance information, investigating variances and initiating corrective action.

You will support the preparation of scope, schedule and cost management plans, writing reports, chairing meetings and delivering presentations.

Your role and responsibilities will be the following:
Project Controls and project coordination

  • Coordinate the scope definition and assist in the preparation of the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) (project activities, cost code's structure and numbering, hours (mainly engineering and/or subcontracts etc.);
  • Work closely with Project Engineering managers, Project Managers, BD managers, engineering discipline leads and project teams during the preparation and maintenance of the baseline and working project schedules;
  • Obtain and monitor actual cost expenditure information and measure project progress performance using Earned Value Analysis;
  • Coordinate the production and maintenance of the risk register for Project Leader / Project Manager review;
  • Coordinate the resource and cost loading of schedules;
  • Support the Project Leader / Project Manager to achieve project targets, and or exceed customer and company expectations;
  • Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with core project team members;
  • Verify the legitimacy of changes, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions;
  • Support Project & Estimating Costs team in the cost estimating and budgeting processes when required;
  • Conduct Critical Path analyses with project team and provide corrective actions or solution for deviation;
  • Issues Project Cost reports including forecast final costs and variances
  • Performs variance analysis, costing, budgeting and forecasting
  • Manage and maintain the change control process for respective project(s); and
  • Other duties as assigned by the Project Manager or the PCO lead
Continuous Improvement / Innovation

  • Identifies and recommends improvements to complex processes that affect own area, others and / or clients; May implement potential improvements to processes in own area and related areas;
  • Encourages / support innovation among others, extending to related areas / departments;
Risks / Opportunities

  • Responds to situations to contain / mitigate shortterm risk in accordance with established processes and procedures;
  • Some risk to team; perform checks and balances on work.
