Description:

The payroll administrator will be responsible for all aspects of payroll processing.

Reporting to the Controller, this position will ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll runs along with maintenance of all payroll department duties.


Qualifications:

years of payroll experience

  • Experience with Sage 50 would be considered an asset
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Understanding of accounting principles would be considered an asset
  • Ability to process large volumes of payroll
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Proficiency using Office 365 and Adobe
  • Great time management skills with the ability to work on a wide range of tasks concurrently
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and electronic while interacting with employees and other team members. Ability to maintain good relationships

Role & Responsibilities of Payroll Administrator:

  • Processing a high volume of payroll for multiple business units
  • Reviewing timesheets for accuracy and processing in payroll system
  • Work with the Payroll department to ensure the success of the team
  • Accurate management of benefits enrollments for employees
  • Keep payroll files updated
  • Respond to employee enquires and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain an accurate electronic filing system
  • Other Payroll duties as required
  • Provide support to the Finance team as required
  • Various administrative duties
