  • As an Executive Advisor with Fleet & Inventory, you will support the Business Unit to plan, coordinate, and deliver on multiple highprofile, crosscorporate programs and projects

Primary duties include:


Prioritize, organize and manage workflow and deadlines related to key goals, requirements and deliverables in the Director's Office and with the management team.

Coordinate cross-business unit activities and complete critical reviews of reports and other deliverables.
Support the Director to critically assess and address the strategic and operational issues, opportunities and decisions that regularly arise.

Monitor all council, committee and Executive Leadership Team reports and manage the submission to the GM's office and City Clerks through eScribe.


  • Compile, research, analyze and prepare correspondence and reports on behalf of the Director.
Lead and support communication and leadership initiatives from the Director's office.
As the DeptID owner, manage the Administrative Assistant's time and daily operations of the Director's office.
Establish and maintain strategic working relationships within and across City business units and departments.

Act as the first point of contact between the business unit and the Mayor's Office, the Councilor's offices, and the General Manager's Office.

Qualifications
***- A Degree and at least 5 years of progressively more responsible experience is required.

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Working knowledge of The City's administrative processes, such as Executive Leadership Team and Council/committee report processes will be considered an asset.
  • Project Management experience will also be an asset.
  • Successful performance in this position requires:
  • Highly developed political acumen, sound judgment and decision-making skills, and the ability to work within a confidential environment
  • The ability to work independently in a complex environment with mínimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to execute a multitude of tasks in a high pressure, time sensitive environment.
  • The ability to proactively identify and respond to issues or opportunities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • A solid working knowledge of The City structure, strong interpersonal skills, and a welldeveloped network.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Pre-employment RequirementsApplicants will be tested for appropriate skills.
Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications.

  • Days of Work: This position works a 5 day
- work week earning 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.
