This position is within a division of the Desjardins Group called Collabria.


Collabria Financial is a Canadian credit card issuer offering customized card programs for Canadian credit unions, serving their consumer and commercial members.

As a Data Strategic Advisor, you will work closely with many teams across Collabria on implementation and oversight of enterprise data engagement and governance policy, goals, standards, practices, processes, and change management.

You will also engage with Business and Technology leadership to improve the quality and value of enterprise data assets, respond to regulatory requirements, and support the strategic requirements of the organization.

General Information on the Position

Main responsibilities- Play a key role in constructing and strengthening the enterprise-wide data governance framework, with a focus on governing "data as an enterprise asset", addressing regulatory requirements, and protecting sensitive data through organization behavior- Collaborate with business to lead the development and implementation of Business Glossary, Data Lineage, and Data Quality (DQ) rules for critical data elements- Serve as a liaison between Business and Technology to ensure that data-related business requirements for governing data and data lifecycle are clearly defined, communicated, and well understood, and considered during any project and operational prioritization and planning- Manage our customer Data sharing certification process- Perform data governance audits and propose solutions- Responsible for customizing Citrix High Security activities (Power Bi) and any other data governance related tasks

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of six years of relevant experience in the data industry, including three years towards delivering DG initiatives
  • Experience with both waterfall and agile methodologies
  • Experience Microsoft Azure Purview and Jira
Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

Specific knowledge- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in Enterprise Data Management, DG practices, and DQ principles and methodologies- Knowledge of Master Data Management- Knowledge of technology such as: online channels, real-time APIs, data storage / data bases, data domain models, UML, data mapping- Strong communication skills in French and English, both oral and written
