    YWCA Program Centre, 535 Hornby Street, Vancouver with the option to work remotely within BC when schedule permits
    Posting Period: February 13 - March 1, 2024
    Job Description:
    • This is a permanent position in Fund Development at YWCA, focused on securing Major Gift revenue from various donors
    • Work closely with a team of 20 to meet financial goals and represent YWCA in public and one-on-one interactions
    • Responsibility for individual areas while collaborating with the team to achieve revenue targets
    • Flexible work hours with the option for partial remote work
    What you'll be doing:
    • Identify, build relationships with prospects leading to in-person meetings and major gift solicitations
    • Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors
    • Create planned giving asks when appropriate
    • Participate in donor events as needed
    • Provide excellent donor stewardship and recognition to enhance future donations
    • Write compelling funding proposals and donor communication materials
    • Collaborate with colleagues on proposal budgets
    • Contribute to equity, diversity, and inclusion discussions and strategies
    • Research social issues relevant to fund development
    • Ensure timely completion of solicitations to meet revenue targets
    • Maintain accurate donor records in Raiser's Edge
    What you'll need:
    • Degree/diploma in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
    • 3-5 years of experience in relationship building, strategy development, and fundraising
    • Proven track record in closing annual, major, and planned gift asks
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Experience with prospect research and social issues research
    • Strong organizational and critical thinking skills
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
    • Experience with Raiser's Edge is an advantage

    • Clear criminal record check required
    What we offer:
    • Salary range: $63,000 - $74,000
    • Extended medical and dental benefits
