    Description

    Job Purpose

    To lead and manage operations and activities in area of responsibility to meet production goals, quality, cost, safety objectives. To ensure all standards, policies, and regulations are met for a safe environmentally compliant operation.

    In this position you will have the opportunity to:

    Key Responsibilities: (Tech Shield, T&G, Shipping)

  • Responsible for leading, and training in department.
  • Drives process improvement, cost reduction and continuous improvement projects.
  • Follow and support departmental activities & goals with minimal guidance.
  • Work with Mill Planner to assure adequate production capacity and company resources to fulfill production orders.
  • Oversee the process to balance raw material receipts daily and perform raw material/finished goods inventory monthly.
  • Fill in for the Mill Planner.
  • Flexible to schedule changes/on call (fill in for absences)

    • Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven team leadership skills.
  • Ability to operate heavy machinery.
  • Ability to implement change.
  • Knowledge of continuous operation manufacturing process and improvement process.
  • Knowledge of safety, health, and environmental rules, laws, requirements, and applicable LP Programs.
  • Strong oral, written communication, and math skills.
  • Demonstrated ability with computer and supporting software for communication and analytical functions.
  • Demonstrated organizational and project management skills.
  • Proven budgeting and financial analysis skills.
  • Time management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of current management and supervisory techniques.
