We are looking for a
Marketing and Events Coordinator who can drive community engagement and ultimately grow the key markets and client base.

This will be accomplished through hosting art competitions and community events/activations, effectively using social media, managing relationships of partnerships, supporting PR when required, and working with the manager and customer service teams.

This role is responsible for fostering relationships with clients, students, partnerships and all other stakeholders. You also ensure that all community marketing efforts align with AOMA's core values and goals.


What you will be responsible for:

  • Support management team in the development of marketing strategies and plans
  • Efficiently execute marketing plans and coordinate marketing projects for clients and internal staff
  • Create a social media calendar and content corresponding to the school/community events calendar to ensure AOMA art courses and workshops are regularly highlighted to a larger audience. This includes building out the strategy, actively managing the daytoday, and posting regularly
  • Create and plan school events and promotions both monthly and seasonally
  • Develop calendar and content of community events/activations that drive strong engagement and impressions with clients
  • Build key relationships with neighbourhood retailers in addition to local media, influencers, designers, artists, and vendors
  • Maintain detailed and accurate event files such as databases, contact and partnership information
  • Measure, monitor, analyze, compile and report campaign metrics on the effectiveness of marketing initiatives
  • Ensure all marketingrelated activities are fully resourced and running smoothly by booking thirdparty vendors, coordinating with specialists, etc
  • Support, develop and promote workshops, art tours, art courses, and open houses
  • Ensure proficient brand experience with our community on social platforms, including Instagram, WeChat, Instagram, xiaohongshu, FB etc
  • Outreach and build relationships with community, art and education organizations, government
  • Support student recruitment: meet (virtually or in person) with and recruit students based on their educational specifications and requirements and provide accurate assistance on the registration process
  • Develop and grow school event sponsors and partnerships

What you will bring:


  • Must possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • At least 12 years of marketing experience in the education industry, including experience in the design, planning, and execution of marketing plans
  • Bachelor's degree/College in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Excellent knowledge of the education market in Vancouver
  • Ability to build strong relationships within and outside of the company
  • Excellent knowledge of communication, promotion, and marketing principles and practices
  • Ability to recommend and deliver solutions to marketing and communications challenges
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing in English and presentation skills
  • Proficient knowledge in photography/videography, experience in graphic design and social media
  • Selfmotivated yet customerfocused
  • Mandarin an asset (preferred)
