Description

As a Lead Carpenter, you are directly responsible for carrying out the job from start to finish. You will have the ability to lead and supervise a team of carpenters and subcontractors involved in a project. You must have the ability to work with a team, as well as independently.

The Lead Carpenter must be able to work under pressure, and meet required deadlines, on a wide variety of projects.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Coordinates and supervises the daily site activities of carpenters and subtrades
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
Monitors the schedule in coordination with Project Management and provides daily reporting.
Keep informed of the entire project scope including revisions, change orders or changes to the scope of work
Perform various carpentry duties
Prepare cost estimates for clients
Assist project managers in estimating, creating schedules, ordering materials, and preparing multiple sites for start of construction
Ensures appropriate safety requirements are met at all times

Qualifications & Education

Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment
Showcasing excellent leadership skills
Extensive knowledge of power tools
Knowledge of lumber grades and countertop materials
Demonstrated proactive approaches to problemsolving with strong decisionmaking capability
Capable of climbing on ladders and carrying at least 50 pounds
Willingness to work overtime, when necessary, to deliver the project on time
Highly resourceful teamplayer, with the ability to also be extremely effective independently
Forward looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions
Valid Driver's License
