Summary


In this role you will be responsible for carrying out full cycle accounts payable functions in an accurate, efficient and timely manner.

You must have sound working knowledge and understanding of the full accounts payable cycle combined with solid related work experience in reconciling, processing, verifying and posting vendor invoices, purchase orders and expenses; maintaining payables listings and vendor files and processing high volume cheque runs.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Accurately input and maintain vendor records.
  • Enter accounts payables entries.
  • Investigate, verify and resolve discrepancies relating to invoices, payments, purchase orders and statements.
  • Match packing slips to invoices.
  • Ensure invoices are supported by proper approvals and appropriate documentation.
  • Reconcile vendor invoices and statements.
  • Organize and process cheque runs.
  • Maintain and update payables records, listings and files.
  • Prepare reports as required.
  • Respond to payables related inquiries as required.
  • Ensure processing deadlines and accuracy standards are met.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 35 years accounts payable background with high volume invoice processing experience.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of general bookkeeping principles.
  • Experience working in fastpaced, deadline driven environment with proven time management skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Strong working knowledge of Excel and Word a must.
  • Experience with DOS based accounting software, such as AS400, an asset.
  • Ability to learn new systems and software quickly.
  • Strong administrative and data entry skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, multitasking and prioritizing skills.
  • Able to exercise confidentiality, discretion and diplomacy.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude with excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Post secondary education in bookkeeping, finance or equivalent related experience.

Salary:
$45,000.00-$48,000.00 per year
